It is said that the husband and the children she had left behind wanted her back putting her in a dilemma. She did not want to go with the son she bore with the other man hence opted to kill him so as to save her first marriage.
Embu police boss Gasper Makau confirmed the incident saying that the woman had told officers that the son died from a fall during a fight with her sister at her parent's home. This claim was however disputed as postmortem revealed that the child had been strangled.
The woman was arrested and will be taken to court to answer to murder charges.
