Doctor Injects Woman To Death A Month To Wedding

A 24-year old woman, Sophia Ifeoma Obi, has died after she was injected by a suspected quack doctor.

She was allegedly administered with an obnoxious substance following an undisclosed ailment in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria. It was gathered that the tragic incident happened just a month to her wedding when she visited her fiance in Lagos in preparation for the marriage.

The 46-year old man, Ojelabi Jonathan, who injected her, has been arrested and is facing trial.
Trouble started when Jonathan went to Sophia’s fiance’s house at DF 47, Shagari Estate, Ipaja, Lagos and allegedly mixed an obnoxious substance and injected her and she immediately started vomitting and became unconscious.

DRAMA IN ABUJA: EFCC Re-arraigns 7 Suspects Ff the N40bn Pension Scam

 It was drama galore at the Federal Capital Territory High Court at Maitama yesterday, as the key suspect in the alleged illegal diversion of over N40billion from the Police Pension Fund, Mrs. Uzoma Cyril Attang, directed thugs to physically assault journalists that came to cover her arraignment.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had maintained that it successfully traced about N1.1billion to one of the bank accounts operated by Mrs. Attang, who is still in service as Director of Finance and Accounts in the Ministry of Communications. See more photos here

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper and 1994 African Nations Cup gold medalist, Peter Rufai worked very hard to be in form and maintained good name.

He was in goal for Nigeria’s senior national team for over a decade, and kept goal for numerous European clubs such as K.S.C Lokeren, K.S.K Beveren (both of Belgium) and Deportivo de La Coruna of Spain.

But Rufai, fondly called Dodo Mayana, may have run into trouble if reports reaching us are anything to go by. A Ghana-based website, SpyGhana.com reports that Rufai allegedly diverted the sum of 200,000 euro that was put in his hand by the Nigerian Community in Belgium and ran to Nigeria last year.
