Funmilayo Olayinka resumed office as deputy governor from the 16th of October 2010 until her untimely demise. Olayinka, a top banking chief, before her election alongside Governor Kayode Fayemi and their eventual swearing-in on 16th October 2010, traversed the banking sector in different capacities.
She was a strong advocate of the rights of women and on many occasions led protests on better deals for the womenfolk
She was 52 years old. She is survived by a husband and three children. RiP...
