UPDATED: BABY-MAKING FACTORY Story

Here is a follow-up on the BABY-MAKING FACTORY story:

The Imo State Governor has donated the sum of ten million naira for the upkeep of the 24 pregnant teenage girls rescued from a child trafficking ring in Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Rochas Okoroacha said the state government has adopted all the girls and will ensure that they deliver their babies.
He stressed that all child adoptions must henceforth be approved by the Governor of office of the First Lady of Imo State.

Governor Okoraocha advised parents “to monitor their children especially the female ones while they are still in secondary schools, noting that investigations showed that all the girls got pregnant in the course of their studies and were confused on what to do until they fell into the hands of the child traffickers.

He directed the Imo State Police Command to do all within its powers to apprehend the owner of the home, popularly called “Madam One Thousand.
