Man arrested for allegedly using mum for rituals and hiding corpse for 10 years (photo)

It was a shocking sight when the  police in Imo arrested  a 62 year old retired vice principal, Dr Chimezie Osuigwe, for the alleged murder of his 78-year-old mother. The embalmed body of Mrs Lucy Osuigwe  who was declared missing in 2003 was discovered in a cupboard at his house.The man is said to be a devotee of the Guru Maharaji Sect, and the placement of the corpse depicted ritual practice. he is said to have joined in on the search when she was declared missing

According to Musa Katsina, Imo State Commissioner of Police.“Preliminary assessment of the scene of crime revealed that the woman must have been murdered by the son for ritual purposes,”

 He is being charged with  first degree murder .
